Teaser Tuesday – Are You Seeing Me? (April 18)

tuesdayTeaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here are my teasers for this week:

are you seeing me.jpgKilling Moby Dick was the only thing he was interested in – he was obsessed. I have lots of interests – earthquakes, Jackie Chan movies, washing cars.

With the Leafs making the playoffs this year for the first time in a few years, there’s more hockey being watched in our house this year. Although it’s good to see 5 of the 7 Canadian teams making the playoffs, there’s really only 2 of them that I’d like to see winning the cup. I treated myself to this NHL bookmark last week when I was in Indigo on my birthday.

Here are my teasers for this week:

finding god in the wavesAsk someone to tell you about Vincent van Gogh, and most people will tell you he was a painter who cut off his ear. That’s tragic, because it distills his fascinating life down to a single, sensational fact.
