Teaser Tuesday – Grounded (Nov 22)

TuesdayTeaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here are my teasers for this week:

groundedThe New York Times refers to ours as a “genealogy-crazed era.” Surprisingly genealogy stories involving celebrities make headlines: Barack Obama and Sarah Palin are distant cousins; Emma Watson, star of the Harry Potter movies, is related to an actual sixteenth-century witch; a white supremacist learns – on a television talk show – that he is 14 percent black.

  1. Interesting teaser. Sounds like an intriguing book. My teaser this week is from one of my favorite authors – When All the Girls Have Gone by Jayne Ann Krentz. Happy reading!
